Hi friends!
I hope you are off to a great 2024, it’s hard to believe that it’s February already! I decided I wanted to use my favorite supplies more in 2024. It’s so easy to get distracted by the shiny and new, especially since reviewing new art supplies is one of the cornerstones of my business, but this year I want to pull out the tried and true supplies more. I had a blast painting this still life in Pan Pastel and Derwent Lightfast colored pencils and I want to do more of that!
Something else new for 2024 is that I am adding artist interviews to my podcast. You can listen via whatever podcast app you like, just search “The Frugal Crafter Blog” to find it, but if you want to see the video versions you can check it out on my YouTube channel.
I will only be sending these newsletters monthly, just like I did previously on TinyLetter (if my newsletter looks different to you it is because I switched platforms) unless there is something big I need to notify people about. If you want to see what I am up to daily you can subscribe to my blog and get several emails a week or follow me (click the subscribe button) on YouTube where I post 4 times a week. I post a review, an art tutorial, a sat chat, and a podcast every week but then I will pop in another random video depending on what I am up to.
One more thing I wanted to mention before I go, I am teaching a fusion watercolor + Cardmaking class for Altenew called Watercolor Playdate February 12th-18th.
This is a beginner-friendly class that teaches the basics of watercolors and shows you how you can blend watercolor techniques with stamping supplies to create beautiful greeting cards which are mini works of art! You can choose between the regular or deluxe kit of supplies depending on what you already have and join us for a fun week of watercolor!
Thank you for being a part of the community!
